The QuickCam Ultra Vision contains a five-lens system with the true glass lens. The glass lens improves clarity and takes in more light than the plastic lenses. Because of this exposure time is reduced and the higher frame rates are allowed. Generally, the RightLight 2 technology did a good job for sorting out a variety of extreme lighting situations in bright as well as dim environment.

The QuickCam Ultra Vision incorporates a built in microphone with echo-canceling and noise reduction capability which provides, best audio quality. The most frequent reviewer’s opinion is that the Logitech Ultra Vision webcam provides better quality while the Fusion provides better value with good performance. The features of both the webcam are nearly similar, however the Fusion is only capable of 640 x 480 video even having a 1.3 mega pixel sensor. The Ultra Vision webcam has a fancier lens system. The Fusion webcam has incorporated microphone with headset microphone and face tracking feature, which follow movement.

The Logitech QuickCam Orbit MP Webcam has a desktop stand, ultra wide angle lens and a mechanical pan and tilt. These features differentiate it from the Ultra Vision and Fusion webcam. But this webcam is not that much popular like Ultra Vision and Fusion webcam.

Logitech is the one of the two better webcam manufacturers and other one is Creative. Creative’s best webcam is Creative Live Cam Optia. Generally many of the reviewers like Creative’s software than Logitech. This webcam provides decent image quality and the low light performance is poor. It captures 640 x 480 resolution video. The Optia is good webcam but many prefer Logitech webcams.

Other top models from new companies are Microsoft LifeCam VX-6000 and Philips SPC 900NC. The Philips SPC 900NC is the direct competitor to the Logitech QuickCam Ultra Vision and Logitech QuickCam Fusion. This webcam is rated below the Logitech product. It provides better image quality but poor in value. It is capable of taking 60 frames per second but software can’t take it’s advantage.

According to many reviews, user prefer the Philips webcam than the Microsoft Lifecam VX-6000 because of it’s superior video quality.
